Innovative, award-winning and Grammy-nominated orchestra Sinfonia Viva pay their first visit to Stroud in what promises to be a highlight of the Stroud Arts Festival 75th Season. Featuring Artistic Director and violinist Sophie Rosa, they will bring us a programme of sublime classical music. Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances and Tchaikovsky’s Serenade, the beautiful and moving Elegy: In Memoriam Stephen Lawrence by living English composer Philip Herbert and Sophie’s rendition of Astor Piazzolla’s tribute to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons is the perfect show piece, demonstrating why her playing is bringing her excellent reviews and international recognition.
