Currently, Stroud Arts Festival provides grants each year to local artists, performers and educators whose projects require sponsorship and involve or are aimed at children and young people. This focus on involving and encouraging young people to experience and engage in the arts is in line with our charitable objectives.

Applicants must present an outline of a performance, show, workshop or exhibition which will be of interest to the public. Applications for grants open in January and June each year, for awards in April and September respectively.  The Committee holds 2 meetings specifically to discuss and award the grants.  Go to About Us for the date of the next full Committee meeting.

Grants are normally given in amounts up to £500 and paid in two instalments but larger sums are occasionally made available to exceptional projects or new ventures which require seed funding.

Past events supported by Stroud Arts Festival have included youth drama shows, youth film projects, poetry slams, art and photographic exhibitions, sculpture installations, music workshops, dance projects – the list goes on!
